Mental Health Support

As the parent of two adult children who were both premature births, I have experience real life trauma on a personal level

I have an empathy and understanding for parents who experience challenges with mental health, adopting a nurturing approach to each family.

Allowing time and support to debrief the birth experience can be extremely useful for parents, particularly if the birthing process was traumatic.

With extensive knowledge gained from working with many parents who have required support with mental health, I adopt a nurturing approach to families.

A valuable Maternity Nurse should always be able to offer both emotional and practical support following the birth of a newborn baby.

Family Member Support

I can provide practical support for the siblings and the partners of mothers, offering strategies to support siblings with the transition of a new baby. Furthermore offering partners emotional support and guidance, with a well respected network of external specialist support services.

As a British born Maternity Nurse I will only work where I am permitted to by law with all travel and relevant permits agreed prior to booking.

As a Certified Infant Massage Instructor with the International Association of infant Massage, I will be able to teach you some gentle massage strokes to incorporate into your baby’s day.

Can you guarantee that my baby will settle soon?

Each and every baby and parent is different to the last one, each with their own unique set of circumstances, personalities and needs.

Understanding, respect and communication are key, whilst I am resting or away from the home it is strongly recommended that the parent or parents adhere to the plan created in the initial consultation.

Babies, just like adults are happier in a routine, parents who adopt to the agreed plan in advance often find that their baby will settle and thrive within a few weeks.

Please note I cannot make guarantees!
