About Me

Maternity Nurse & Consultant

A bit about me, as far back as I can recall I have always felt a strong desire to care for and support people.

Subsequently, in 1991 I qualified as a Registered General Nurse at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

Initially, I worked in an acute medical ward for palliative care and care of the elderly. As a result, I enjoyed caring for patients and supporting their families.

Early on in my nursing career I was promoted to a more senior role as a Nursing Team Lead.

Later, in 1998 I experienced a difficult premature birth, with two years of uncertainty ahead.

Three years later I gave birth to my second child who was also born prematurely. Both of whom live healthy, happy and successful lives.

As a result of both traumatic pregnancies, I knew my future in nursing was going to become that of a Maternity Nurse. It was both a personal and natural calling!

So I began to study professionally, adding further knowledge, in addition to the experience of two very challenging births.

My experience includes working in Canada for 11 years. During which time I helped to create and facilitate a drop-in programme for Mums with Postnatal Depression and Anxiety.

I returned to the UK in 2019,  initially working for Maternity Nurse agencies. Since then, the business has developed independently, by recommendation and personal referral.

I now work with parents from all over the world, delivering online remote support

Furthermore, I provide an in-home

Maternity Nurse service. I’m fully versed with high profile clients, adhering to client confidentiality agreements if required.
